On Registration
Each team whose registration is accepted will be awarded a memorable souvenir and each team member will be issued a Certificate of Participation.
For the Winners
Winning teams of each competition will be recognized and awarded valuable prizes in cash and in kind.

| 1st runner-up : | Cash $10,000 plus prizes |
| 2nd runner-up : | Cash $ 5,000 plus prizes |
The winners will be publicly honoured at the IT Contest Award Presentation Ceremony to be held on 11 June 2001 at the Jockey Club Auditorium of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
